Hormone Replacement Therapy (Menopause) :
Menopause is the time at which a woman menstrual period stops. The end to menstruation in a woman signals the end of reproduction in a woman. Pre-mature menopause in women appears as early as 35 years. The female hormone replacement therapy is normally carried out to protect the woman from osteoporosis and other symptoms like vaginal dryness, depression, anxiety, and hot flashes.
Hormone Replacement Therapy (male-to-female ) :
This happens when there is a replacement of hormones naturally that occurs naturally in their body with the one that occurs in the opposite sex. It normally happens in between the transgender and the transsexual. It is done when the male hormones are transferred to a female, and this normally occurs during the sex reassignment surgery. The hormone introduced to the other body suppresses the growth of the original sex hormones.
The hormone replacement therapy can also star on some intersex people at childhood. The introduced hormone causes development of its secondary sex characteristics.
Hormone Replacement Therapy (female-to-male) :
This hormone replacement also happens when the female hormone are introduce to a male body as a secondary sex. The hormone suppresses the growth of the original hormones hence leading to the growth of secondary sex hormones.
Even though this process is possible some earlier characteristics of the primary hormones may not change even after the transplant. The male hormones are suppressed by the female hormones that are introduced to the body during the sex reassignment surgery. The sex reassignment surgery is carried out to change the reproduction organs of the male or female.
